These self-guided and supported hikes provide a glamping-like experience for hikers who want to enjoy the thrills of bush camping without carrying a heavy backpack. Hikers only carry a small day pack while walking, making the experience more relaxed.

Lake McKenzie 2-Day
Pack Free Hike Camping
Hike pack-free through lush bush and relax in the sparkling waters of Lake McKenzie. This hike is fully supported with an on-the-ground guide who will transfer you by 4WD to the meeting points on the Central Loop of the Great Walk Track. While you are enjoying your pack-free hiking experience our guide will be setting up your camp and preparing your dinner!

Experience five of K'gari's (Fraser Island) most beautiful pristine freshwater lakes on this Eco Hiking Adventure. Once you head off on your hike you’ll experience bliss in the wilderness as you walk through spectacular towering rainforests and swim in freshwater blue lakes with sandy beaches. This hike is fully supported with an on-the-ground guide who will transfer you by 4wd to the trailhead and meeting points along the Great Walk track. While you are enjoying your pack-free hiking experience our guide will be setting up your camp and preparing your dinner!

Rainforest Eco 3-Day
Pack Free Hike Camping
Walk under forest giants from location to location while exploring sights such as incredible sand blows, 1,000 year old trees in the Valley of the Giants, and incredible freshwater creeks and lakes.
Embark upon an amazing fully supported hike where you will experience the most remote areas of K'gari's (Fraser Island) Great Walk. This rainforest hike takes you through lush tropical rainforest where you will walk under some of the largest living trees on the island in the spectacular Valley of Giants. As you walk under forest giants from location to location you will explore sights such as incredible sand blows, the 75 Mile Beach and stunning lakes such as Lake Garawongera and Lake McKenzie.

What Is Included:

- Barge transfer to the island and 4WD transfers

What To Bring:
- Suitable walking/hiking shoes
- Small overnight bag (transferred by the guide) containing your belongings needed at the hikers camp at night (this could include sleeping bag liner, warm overnight clothes, toiletries, pillow, easy dry towel, spare change of clothes) - no suitcases, soft bags only
- Day pack with essentials for carrying during the day hike (this could include camera, phone, swimmers/small towel, torch, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, reusable water bottle or water reservoir
- Prescription medication and general medication if needed
- Portable charger to charge phone/camera as there will be no access to electricity on the island
- Torch - head torch is recommended (small lanterns around the camp are provided)
Safety - Fraser Island Hiking takes safety seriously knowing Fraser Island is a remote wilderness. This is why hikers are not permitted to walk solo. We also use the Garmin Rino 2-Way Radio/GPS Navigator with Sensors for hikers to communicate with the guide or use in an emergency. These devices also have GPS navigation to locate you in an emergency.
