Where is Hervey Bay?
Hervey Bay is only a little over 3-hours drive north of Brisbane or 2-hours north of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast. This means whilst we live in a relaxed regional seaside paradise, we can still easily access the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane (35-min flight) or Gold Coast for a cityscape, shopping trip, concert, international flight, medical specialist etc.
It's truly the best of both worlds where we are so fortunate to live at an affordable beachside haven that's still easily accessible to everything you could want!
What's Hervey Bay Like?
Hervey Bay is set on a beautiful protected coast line (part of the Wide Bay region) and has a winding 16km landscaped Esplanade right along the beachfront. The beaches are pristine and the ocean is calm with aqua water due to the unusual north facing direction. Plus it is protected by the world's largest sand island, K'gari (Fraser Island) which can be seen from the eastern areas.
Across from the beach on the other side of the Esplanade are tantalising restaurants and cafes, bars, shops and accommodation. The locals are laid-back and friendly, and things move nice and slow which is why its hard not to be relaxed in Hervey Bay.
