Experiencing the world's largest sand island & heritage-listed K'gari (Fraser Island) is a must do for all outdoor nature lovers. We've come up with a flexible itinerary to suit all styles and ages and are ready to organise everything for you. We can adjust this itinerary to suit your specific needs or wants and according to the time or budget you have available.

Day 1 - Eat, Play & Rest in Hervey Bay

Fly or Drive to Hervey Bay, Qld.

Check into your Hervey Bay accommodation and head to the Esplanade to take in the breath-taking views. Enjoy fresh fish and chips, swim, kayak, walk or rest. Also check out the local gift shops or galleries and definitely take one of our sunset cruises before your gourmet dinner. We can make recommendations and bookings for all of these activities and more.

Day 2 - Remote Fraser Island Experience

Not to be missed - experience the unique and untouched remote west coast of world heritage-listed K’gari (Fraser Island) and be one of the few to explore parts of the island only the locals know about. Cruise to Platypus Bay to swim & kayak in crystal-clear creeks, enjoy water sports, beaches and climb the sand dunes. During Whale Watching season you will also get to experience the magnificent Humpback Whales Hervey Bay is renowned for.

Days 3 to 6 - Experience K’gari (Fraser Island)

You will embark on an epic experience exploring K’gari (Fraser Island). We recommend at least 3 days but if you have limited time we can recommend 1 & 2 day tours to see the highlights. We have many options and styles of tours that will satisfy your adventure or comfort needs.

Our Recommendations:

For the more active and adventurous, we will hook you up with a ready-to-go 4WD or Hiking experience so you can independently explore the island as you wish.  There are a range of driving tours (self-drive or guided) and hiking options (adventure hikes or hikes without packs where your camp and dinner are prepared for you). You can also choose the length of hike, key sites/tracks and number of days you want to spend deep in paradise.

Alternatively, if you prefer someone else to do the ‘work’ or you’re not a camper or hiker, we highly recommend spoiling yourself at the resorts while you enjoy being professionally guided for 2 days around the island. On these tours you get to sit back and relax, learn about K'gari, and enjoy all the experiences along the way. In the evening you will enjoy an award winning eco resort as you look forward to being looked after with safe and knowledgeable guides.
