Contact Experience Hervey Bay To Book
Some people just can’t do enough Whale Watching and that’s totally understandable! The experience can be transformational and spiritual for many people lucky enough to experience Whale Watching in Hervey Bay where you are up-close and personal with these massive marine mammals.
You may wonder why Whale Watching in Hervey Bay is Australia’s Best? Because this is the only location where thousands of Humpback Whales (Mums, Dads, and Baby Calves) swim into the warm shallow waters of the Bay to Rest, Play and Socialise while on their way back south (basically you see them having a Whale of a Holiday in Happy Hervey before returning home!).
So, if one day of Whale Watching is not enough for you, we recommend you stay and play for 3 Days and try these very different Whale Watching Experiences.
Day 1 - Whale Watching with Sunset Dinner
Check into your Hervey Bay accommodation and after lunch, head out into Platypus Bay to enjoy Australia’s best Whale Watching destination. This Afternoon + Sunset Whale Watch cruise will have you relaxing and feeling connected to nature and wowed by the awesome Humpback Whales as you cruise and also enjoy sunset and dinner aboard on the way back to the Marina.
Day 2 - Exclusive Whale Watching Sailing Encounter
Spend a full day aboard an award-winning sailing vessel cruising across Platypus Bay to see up-close tail-slapping, breaching and spy-hopping. Be spoiled all day with informative commentary, full catering and an entire day of Whales and other sea life. If you love Whale Watching, you will absolutely love this cruise.
Remember when you are back on the mainland to check out our EAT + DRINK section for all the great restaurants, pubs and cafes to enjoy whilst in Hervey Bay!
Day 3 - Research Based 3-Hour Whale Watching Cruise
Whales wait for no one, so start your final day early with one last Whale Watching experience with Pacific Whale Foundation. Being an international whale research organisation, marine researchers from Pacific Whale Foundation will educate you as they move alongside the whales in a rigid inflatable boat for approx. 3 hours.
