Kingfisher Bay Resort, K'gari

Your 'Day Away' starts with a scenic cruise across the Great Sandy Strait on the 9am ferry from River Heads (Hervey Bay) to Kingfisher Bay Resort. On arrival you'll be met by one of our Resort Rangers, who will provide you with information about your day's activities and help you explore the surrounding areas.

The tranquil waters and pristine coastline of the Great Sandy Strait are safe for the family to swim and fish. Plus there is optional water sport equipment available for hire, including stand-up paddle boards and kayaks. The Sand Bar & Bistro also has two large swimming pools for you to enjoy during your visit.

Enjoy a relaxing lunch pool-side and sip a refreshing beverage in the afternoon sun, with spectacular views overlooking the bay at The Sunset Bar. The ferry departs the resort at either 2.30pm or 5pm for your choice of return trip to River Heads.

Package includes:

Ferry transfers ex River Heads (Hervey Bay).
A Ranger-guided resort morning walk and beach activities are available.
A delicious poolside lunch.
One complimentary house beer, wine or soft drink per person.
Day use of the island's western beach, four lagoon-style swimming pools, and walking trails.
Full access to all resort facilities.
Pick-up and drop-off to your local accommodation in Hervey Bay can be arranged for $15 per person return.
